Investing in People
1 Timothy 1:1-2
Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope; [2] Unto Timothy, my own son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.
There are a lot of things in this world we will invest in. The one that most will think of has to do with investing their money in something. We also might invest our time into a hobby or craft. We will invest in educating ourselves for something we feel we need or can benefit us.
Have you ever invested in a person like we seen Paul do with people like Timothy. I’m not talking about taking care of your own kids or grandkids, but truly investing in a person. Investing in someone isn’t just praying for them. Truly doing all you can to see them become the best person they can be. Praying for them, encouraging them, being there for them. Not only praying for them, but praying for guidance on any advice you may give them. Helping them find best church to go to if not possible to come to yours. Help them look for best jobs, etc. Have you ever led someone to Christ and seen them get saved? Did you continue to invest in them? Help teach them what Bible says, show them what being a Christian means? In today’s society there are a lot of people who have no idea what true Christianity looks like.
Do you have someone now you can truly say you’re investing in? Someone that you go out of your way to see them be the best person they can be?
God bless
