God Sends
John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
God sent Moses to lead His people out of Egypt. He sent an angel to minister into Elijah. God sent a ram caught in the thicket for Abraham to sacrifice. He sent David to take down Goliath. He sent Philip to the eunuch to preach Jesus into him. We know our text verse tells us He sent His only begotten Son for ALL of us.
God can use anyone in a variety of ways. It’s not just about sending a missionary to some foreign land or for some other need. Think of the things you have or could face. At one point in your life or possibly even still know you need to be saved. God can send the one to share the Gospel with you. You could possibly just need a pick me up. Someone can come by to encourage you. You might be looking for a shoulder to cry on, need medical or financial advice. What about when you’ve been in need of spiritual advice? God places people in our lives at various times when we need them most. Those are all about people being sent for us. What about you? Who has God sent you to help? What could He be wanting you to do for someone? There are plenty people today that are willing to take, but seem to be few that are willing to give! Never loose sight in that God can use you for anything and for anybody! It doesn’t have to always be spiritually related. He’s in the sending business for people in need! We just need to discern and be willing to be used!
