Communication
Psalm 19:14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.
I get told from time to time that the story I just told could’ve been a lot shorter. That just is my tendency. I give more details then are possibly needed. I’m sure we all know someone like that. We all also know that person that probably leaves a lot out at times. They don’t quite tell you the whole story. We also all have a certain vocabulary we will use. Some might use bigger words to sound smart. You have others who will use those words because that is knowledge they possess. Then some like to just keep things simple. We all communicate in different ways. Sometimes it even depends on the people we are talking with. You ever heard someone screaming at someone, get a phone call and answer it like the most polite person in the world? How would the Lord say you communicate? God sees our heart we know at all times. He hears every word uttered from our lips. What would He say about your communication? If the Lord was physically standing next to you would anything have to change in the words you typically use? Would you be ashamed around Him? He can see and hear us at all times so it shouldn’t be any different. Our communication says a lot about us. When you look at our text verse and think about it for a moment. Can you look at your life and say the more time I spend with God the more it shapes my attitude, my outlook, as well as your communication? When you’ve not spent that time with God do you notice you can be more short tempered, lose patience quicker, as well as talk about more worldly things rather than things of God? The more time we spend with Him the more it will affect our heart, our mind as well as our communication.
God bless you today! Bro. Josh Richardson
