Aug 26 Devotion: The Power of Love

*Rom. 12:9-10- Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.

10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;

The word “dissimulation” in verse 9 means; “a false or counterfeit appearance”. Too many use the word “love” in that exact way. Love is one of the most sought after and powerful forces in the world. If Christians would truly love in a Godly way, people would be drawn to the things of God by the masses. The fact that they aren’t speaks volumes of our lack of love.

The Power of Love!

*love…

1. as an Emotion! (inspires)

2. Expresses! (true feelings)

3. Embraces!

4. Empowers!

5. Emancipates! (saves)

6. Excuses! (forgives)

7. Extols! (praises, worships)

8. Extends! (expands, sacrifices, yields)

9. Endures!

May we truly tap into God’s love and then love without dissimulation!
