Aug. 26 Devotion: When the Judges Ruled

When the Judges Ruled

Ruth 1:1

Now it came to pass in the days when the judges ruled, that there was a famine in the land. And a certain man of Beth–lehem–judah went to sojourn in the country of Moab, he, and his wife, and his two sons.

In Judges 21.25 the Bible states that every man did that which was right in his own eyes. At that time everyone turned to human reasoning. They did not seek counsel from God. A nation that depends on their own understanding is doomed, because humanity doesn't have the ability to do right on their own. It seems that the world as a whole has done the same thing in our days. The old saying if It feels good do it, but doing that is how we've gotten into the condition that we are in. Thinking it's okay to abort millions of babies since the seventies. We in America are swiftly turning from a Godly nation to an ungodly nation. Slowly but surely we are turning into a heathen nation. We as Christians need to follow Jesus with all our hearts. We are losing the generation that is coming behind us. The young generation isn't interested in church because the older generation is interested in everything but God. God help us to stay focused on the things of God

God bless
