We Must Continue
2 Timothy 3:1
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
We all know the verses that come after this. We see the description of the very times we are living in. We know the descriptions that follow seem to describe more and more people nowadays. After the first nine verses in this chapter you’ll find Paul telling Timothy about the very things he had faced in his journey and how God had delivered him from them all. We then get to verse 14.
2 Timothy 3:14
But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;
Paul encourages Timothy to continue in what’s he has known. Even mentions in verse 15 how he has known the Scriptures from his youth. If you believe the Bible then you’ve known these times are coming. We also have no idea exactly how bad things could still get. Regardless of how bad the world may seem to be we still know that God is there for us. We know that God is still in control. We know that none of this is catching the Lord by surprise. I encourage you today to just continue! Don’t allow the world to beat you down. Don’t allow the world to cause you to hold your tongue. Don’t allow the world to discourage you. We are still here so there are still people that need to be saved. There are still people God wants to save! Never lose sight of the fact that God still has us here for a purpose so just continue in the things of the Lord.
If the world does begin to get you feeling down and defeated just remember that in the end we WIN! One day the Lord will take care of all those that want to mock Him!
Hebrews 10:30
For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
