Dec 2 Devotion: Jehovah, the Most High!

Text- Ps. 83:17-18: Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; yea, let them be put to shame, and perish:

18 That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.

*God’s attributes are revealed in His Name! Jehovah means: “the Eternal One”; “The Lord”; “I AM THAT I AM”!

1. Jehovah-Jireh! (The Lord will provide!)

*Gen. 22:14- And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah-jireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen.

e. Supplies

f. Shelters for every storm!

2. Jehovah-Rapha! (The Lord that Healeth!)

*Ex. 15:26- And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.

3. Jehovah-Nissi! (The Lord our banner! -the Victor)

*Ex. 17:15- And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it Jehovah-nissi:

*Ps. 23:1- THE LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

6. Jehovah-Tsidenu! (The Lord our Righteousness!)

*Jer. 23:6- In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

7. Jehovah-Shammah! (The Lord is present!)

*Ezek. 48:35- It was round about eighteen thousand measures: and the name of the city from that day shall be, The LORD is there.

Praise God, He’s a present help in times of trouble! He’ll never leave us or forsake us!

I’m glad to report that Jesus is all you’ll ever need and so much more! Put your trust in Him today in all things and your life will never be the same.
