Dec. 27 Devotion: Great Faith

Great Faith

Luke 7:9 When Jesus heard these things, he marvelled at him, and turned him about, and said unto the people that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.

If you was to find out today you needed some type of surgery you’d want the best surgeon to perform it. If you had someone accuse you of something you’d want the greatest defense money could buy. The greatest surgeon is considered that because he might’ve spent the most time in the hospital. The greatest defense attorney isn’t the best just cause he might have had the most cases. Let me say we shouldn’t strive to be the “best” Christian. However, we could be known as one having great faith. How can that happen?

  1. Commitment It will take commitment to the things of God. Not in public always, but a commitment in our personal time with Him.

  2. Coming through storms We can’t give up in times of trouble. We will have storms. God tells us He will always be there. He will bring you through. If we have great faith it will:

  3. Challenges others Personally speaking it always challenges me when you see someone facing a storm and they stay faithful and praise God through it all! When I’m then faced with something I can draw off their faith and know that God brought them through and He can do the same for me!

  4. Change others This world is looking at people around them to see who has something that’s real. A great faith can get them to look toward Jesus! Can it be said of you that you have great faith? Can others see our faith and it impact those around us?

God bless you today! Bro. Josh Richardson
