Playing with Fire
Revelation 20:14-15
And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. [15] And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
I’m guessing at some point in our lives we’ve all heard the phrase: If you play with fire, you’re going to get burned. The Bible leaves it very plain here in our text. Those who don’t get saved and put their faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ one day will find themselves in the lake of fire. As believers, we can look around and see just how close it is to the Lord‘s return. I’ll ask the question today: Are we playing with fire? Not that we will end up getting burned, but what about our lost friends and family? Do we have people in our lives that we’ve invited to church before and since they don’t come we’ve stopped inviting? Do we have coworkers or friends in our lives that we don’t want to offend them so we don’t share the Gospel with them? Are we living a life in front of those around us that will point them to Christ? Do they truly see a difference in us when compared to the rest of the world? We know based on Scripture that Jesus could call his church out of here at any time. Are we doing all we can to lead others to Christ? Do we continually think we have time so we just keep putting it off hoping that one day they will believe before it’s too late. Are we playing with fire in their lives?
God bless
