In the beginning
As this year comes to an end a new year will begin. A time when people will make new commitments and New Year resolutions. Some will resolve to lose weight, some to exercise more, some to put a little nest egg away for the future. All of these are good. There is nothing wrong with any of these things. They say that most New Years resolutions only last about a week. As a child of God we ought to put more value on the spiritual welfare of than the fleshly. We ought to say that we are going to read our Bible more, to witness to the lost, to worship the Lord or to spend more time in prayer. It’s evident that most of us are not spending much time in prayer. It’s so much easier to worry about stuff than to spend time praying to God. This world is consulting everyone else other than God. We have before us a new beginning. One that could change our life or the lives of others. I challenge you this year to spend more time in the things of God.
