Feb. 17 Devotion: Jesus Cares

Jesus Cares

John 6:5 When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat?

Does anyone care what I think? Does anyone care about me? Have you ever heard someone say one of these questions or something like it? Have you yourself ever mentioned or thought one of these questions? Think about our text verse. Jesus seen the multitude that had followed and knew they would need to eat. We know the rest of the story. Jesus used the five loaves and two small fishes to feed them all till they were filled, and still had leftovers. Think for a moment about another portion of Scripture: Matthew 6:28-30 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: [29] And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. [30] Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? God knows where you are and what you are facing. He knows what we stand in need of before we even know we do. There are times we can feel alone. You might even feel as if no one cares. Never lose sight of the fact that Jesus cares. Jesus loves you. Jesus is with you. You might not understand what you might be going through, or even see a way to get past it. Jesus is there for you. Jesus cares! 1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

God bless you today! Bro. Josh Richardson
