The Peace Of God
Philippians 4:7
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
The definition of peace is to join or quietness, rest, set as one. As the world is searching for peace and they are not able to find it. It’s because they're searching for it in things or people, even in drugs or alcohol. These at best will be a temporary peace. In John 14:27
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Jesus has promised everyone that would put their trust in him his peace would be available for them. His peace is not of this world. It is directed from heaven so it will bring rest to the troubled soul. Ephesians 2:14,17
For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; [17] And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.
These verses describe peace this way. Jesus is our peace. Jesus purchased peace for us on the cross of Calvary by his death burial and resurrection. Making it possible for us to be at one with God. So there is only one way to have peace l, and that is by putting complete trust in Jesus.
