Heeding What You’ve Heard

Hebrews 2:1

Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.

The Biible says he that hath an ear let him hear what the spirit saith. The truth of God's word is still being preached today. Sometimes the problem is that we don't apply what we hear. In our text it doesn't tell us to hear the word. It tells us to take a more earnest heed to what we've heard. We ought to really pay attention to what we are hearing. Hearing is associated with faith. One of the reasons why we are not seeing more people get saved is that they are not attending church. So they're not hearing you must be born again. The church is the most important place in every country, because it's the place where God's word is proclaimed and the Word of God is the most powerful book in the world. The Bible changes everyone that comes in contact with it. the Bible comforts those that are hurting. It guides everyone that needs direction no matter what the problem is. In the days we are living in we need to really take heed to what we are hearing because it is life and death depending on what we do with the information that we hear. There are so many deceivers so it is important to heed God's word. It's a blessing to still be able to hear the truth about the word of God.

God bless
