Where’s Your Faith Placed?
Romans 12:3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
I’ve heard it mentioned multiple times during testimonies at our church services. Someone will praise God for all they’ve done and say they just don’t understand how anyone in the world makes it without Him. This verse tells us we are given all faith to trust in Jesus just the same as us. Instead of placing that faith in Christ, the world is placing that faith in something else. If you’re reading this and you’ve not placed your faith in Christ today let me say you can! It will be the best decision you’ve ever made. I’d encourage you to reach out to a believer who can help you with this. If you have trusted Christ, I don’t believe that’s where your measure of faith stops. We have faith to trust in Him for our eternal life, but what about in your everyday walk? How much faith do you place in Him to take care of your finances? I’m not saying you just sit back and not work, but do you trust Him to make everything work out in the end? How much faith do you place in Him to lead your steps down the right path? He has a personal will for all of us. Have you sought that out? Are you following it? The best place we can ever be is in the center of God’s will for our life. How much faith do you place in Him to give the increase? 1 Corinthians 3:6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. By faith we are to spread the Gospel. It’s not our job to get caught up in the increase. We get too caught up in worrying about things instead of placing faith in our God that can handle it all. He has given us a measure of faith that can withstand anything this world throws at us. We worry and fall apart though due to placing our faith in the wrong places. Is your faith placed in Him in everything today? You trust Him for your salvation, are you trusting Him for everything else as well?
