Romans 1:14-17 – “14 I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise. 15 So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also. 16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. 17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.”

Definition of Debt

1. That which is due from one person to another.

2. That which anyone is obliged to do.

Thoughts –

1. We are obligated to financial debt.

2. We are obligated to “word” debt – promises, vows made

3. We are obligated to our forefathers – Freedom

I. Indebted to each other – Hebrews 13:1

1.   Love one another – I John 3:23

2.   Honor one another – Romans 12:10

3.   Devoted to one another – Romans 12:10

4.   Pray one for another – James 5:16

5.   Accept one another – Romans 15:7

6.   Admonish one another – Romans 15:14

7.   Greet one another – Romans 16:3-6,16

8.   Serve one another – Galatians 5:13

9.   Bear one another’s burdens – Galatians 6:2

10.   Forbear one another – Ephesians 4:2

11.   Edify one another – I Thessalonians 5:11

12.   Forgive one another – Ephesians 5:32
