He’s Worth It
Psalm 18:3 I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.
I’m sure we’ve all had a purchase we thought about making and really thought to ourselves: Is this really worth it? I’m a person who really likes to go shopping. Used to be that if I liked something there was a good chance I’d get it. Now? Not so much. I’ll really question is it worth it. Is it worth the money? Is it worth having more clothes? Etc. The Lord is always worth it. Our text verse tells us He is worthy of our praise. Not only is He worthy of our praise, but He’s also worthy of our time. Any of our time we spend talking to Him is time well spent. He’s worthy of our travels. We should be willing to go wherever God may call us. The best place we can be is in the center of His will regardless of where that might be. He’s worthy of our trials. Whatever we may face in doing a work for the Lord it is worth it. Romans 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. He’s worthy of our true worship. He gave His all for us. We should worship Him in truth. Not out of obligation, not as a ritual, not as someone else’s worship. Even if you’re the only one you should worship Him for all He’s done. Do you treat the Lord like He deserves? Do you treat Him like He’s worth it or just as an afterthought?
God bless you today! Bro. Josh Richardson
