Ps. 57:1- Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast.
In this verse we find the Psalmist overwhelmed as he is dwelling in a cave while hiding from his enemies. The weight of his storm and the awareness of his futility have caused him to cry out for the mercy of God. In the midst of his darkness he makes two conscious choices that should inspire every believer who finds themselves facing difficult situations, he chooses to trust God completely and wait on God until the trouble has past. The Lord has provided a refuge under His wings for such times as this!

3. Hope!
4. Healing!
5. No Hurry!
6. His Heartbeat!
Too many times we find ourselves fretting over things too great for us when we have a refuge available! One step of faith will lead us under His wings where “there remaineth a rest” for the people of God! Faith, not fretting is God’s Will for our lives!
