What A Revival
Jonah 3:5
So the people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them.
We know the story of Jonah. How he went the opposite way of what God had instructed him to do. As the word came to him the second time we see him head into the city of Nineveh and we see here in our the result. Oh what a revival!! A couple verses later we even see the king declares a fast for man and beast alike! Could we see a revival where the city of Florence, or the city of Burlington, or the city of Union believes? Sure we could. It will take a couple things on our part.
We must be deliberate.
Deliberate in our asking. Do you ask for revival in general or do you get deliberate in asking God to do certain things? Bring certain prodigals home or save someone’s loved ones that we’ve been praying for? Deliberate in our attendance. This world can cause us to get weary, but we need to show up each and every service looking for God to show up.
We must be dedicated.
A personal dedication. Be willing to do whatever God has for you to individually.
Dedicated to prayer. Not a quick, repetitive prayer. Truly spending time with Him in prayer and seeking His face and His will for what we can do in each and every service.
We must be driven.
Driven to our knees with a burden to see God move. A burden to see true revival break out.
Driven to leave the bustle behind. This world will keep us busy and get our focus off of God. It will take us being driven to keep our focus on God and not let the world weigh us down.
All that being said I’ll ask you this: What’s your desire for our upcoming revival? Are you just looking for a little help? Are you looking for God to show up and save souls? Are you looking for God to show up and change our church, our community, our Country? Are we willing to invest ourselves into whatever God wants and see what He can do through us?
God bless you today!
