Winning Side
1 Corinthians 15:57
But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
School pride, fan(atics), upsets, Cinderella, brackets, etc. All terms or phrases you will hear over the next couple of weeks as March Madness gets underway. So many hope their team is the one that will cut down the nets in a few weeks. However, there are 352 D1 schools and only 1 can be the NCAA champion. This means that the other 67 schools in the tournament will end their season with a loss. It’s a loss that for some will ruin their day. It’s more understandable how the world can have their happiness wrapped up in a game. You can see those that haven’t trusted in the Lord how they can have their happiness wrapped up in worldly circumstances.
However, what is the excuse for us Christians? Absolutely we can have a bad day, but why do so many seem to live a defeated life? We have the victory as our text tells us! He is always with us no matter what we are going through. We know He will give us grace and be right beside us through the storms of life. We then have the victory He has given us over the grave and the promise of heaven to look forward to!
Don’t forget that no matter what comes your way today, if you belong to Him, then you are on the winning side! Praise Him for the victory!!
God bless
