Being Found Faithful
1 Corinthians 4:1-2
Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. [2] Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.
The word required means to insist upon or to demand. The Scriptures plainly tell us that God demands that the children of God be faithful. In Luke 18.8 Jesus asked the question when the Son of man cometh shall he find faith on the earth. When a person has faith in God it ought to cause him to be faithful. You might say faithful to what? Faithful to what God has put in your heart. You might never be a great singer or even a great preacher, but one thing we can all do and that is to be faithful. Faithful to our local church, to the reading of God's Word, to being a good witness on the job or school or to our neighbors. Faithful to living a life that would cause them to see the difference that Jesus has made in our lives. The problem with Christians today is they want Jesus with no changes. That is not the salvation that God offers. God is not trying to make our lives miserable. He’s trying to enrich our lives to the fullest potential.
