Boldness
Acts 9:29 And he spake boldly in the name of the Lord Jesus, and disputed against the Grecians: but they went about to slay him.
I did not watch, but I’ve seen a couple clips from the state of the union address on Tuesday night. In the clips I’ve seen I’ve seen something that continues to happen with politicians. It’s sad, alarming, as well as brilliant it seems. It’s amazing the boldness they have in telling flat out lies. It’s obvious why it’s something that is sad and alarming. You shouldn’t lie. However, it’s brilliant because there is a lack of boldness in people calling them out on it besides arguing about it with their friends. They then have a group of people that will just believe whatever they say and continue to vote them in. Where is the boldness of the media to plaster the lies all over the news? Where’s is the boldness of politicians from the other side to stand up and state the facts? Where is the boldness of the people to stand up and vote them out or even run themselves? Where has the boldness of Christian’s disappeared to? It’s not boldness based on ourselves, but the boldness we see in our text verse today. Paul spoke boldly in the name of Christ! We should not speak boldly based on our feelings, nor based on thinking we are better than someone. However, in Christ, we have the truth, and we should be willing to speak boldly in the name of the Lord. We should stand boldly for our beliefs. If you haven’t had to already time is fast approaching where you are going to have to be bold in your beliefs on abortion, on homosexuality, on the wickedness going on around us. We are in the condition we are in because not enough we’re willing to stand boldly against the wickedness going on. A lot of people were willing to stand and boldly speak out against mask and vaccine mandates. Do we stand against abortion with that same vigor? Do we dig in our heels against homosexuality the same way we did against Covid mandates? If we want change in this world. If we want to see the lost born again. Then it’s time we speak boldly for the things of God!
God bless you today! Bro. Josh Richardson
