Have You Grown?

1 Peter 2:2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

It’s now been close to a year since our world as we know used to know it was changed drastically! Masks. Covid. Quarantine. Social distancing. Those are just a few of the things I’m sure that we are all tired of hearing and tired of discussing. However, I’m a firm believer that none of this got caught God by surprise. Not only did God know it was coming, He also knew it was needed. Needed! How in the world could I think it was needed? Think about all the things at times we would allow to take precedence in our lives over God. Sports, hobbies, social lives, family, careers, etc. This past year has given us the perfect opportunity to get our priorities in order. -Have you grown closer to Christ? Is your relationship with Him better now than it ever was? -Have you grown in the Word? Do you know anything more about Scripture now than you did a year ago? -Have you grown as a person? Do you love more? Do you forgive as Christ instructs us to forgive? Have you become a better friend or more of a judge? This past year has shown us there is one constant in our lives, and that’s God. He’s the one that never changes. I really can’t imagine us ever having a better opportunity to see ourselves grow as we’ve had this past year. God had everything put on hold. Did you spend that time with Him or complaining? Have you grown or are you still in the same place and same person you were a year ago?

God bless you today! Bro. Josh Richardson
