Access
Romans 5:1-2 [1] Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: [2] By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
Due partially to just the parts they had and the knowledge at the time the first computers would take up an entire room. As technology has evolved we now harness that power in something we can keep in a shirt pocket. Think of the access we now have at our fingertips. You can find YouTube videos to fix or make just about anything. You can keep up with far away family or friends over multiple social media apps. You can play games to pass time Many have been able to just use simple apps or videos and created a business for themselves and sell things that they produce. In a split second you can even send a text to someone thousands of miles away. Most all of this has come to fruition in just the last 20-25 years. For far longer we’ve had access to something far greater than anything here in this world. Through Christ we have access to the Father! We have access to the peace that passeth all understanding. We have His promises we can stand on! We should not take this access for granted. We also should not take it lightly. You will find the word access 3 times in the Bible. Including: Ephesians 3:11-12 [11] According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord: [12] In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.
Do you approach God with that boldness and confidence with the access you have? I’m not talking about entitlement! I’m not talking about going to the Lord in prayer in a prideful condition. However, we can approach Him through prayer with the confidence He hears our prayers! With confidence He loves us. With confidence He will take care of us. We have access to our Father in Heaven. That’s access to one greater than anything this world has to offer. Do you use this access on a regular basis? How often do you access something on your phone daily that has nothing to do with God? How many times a day do you access the Father? Whether it’s a request, an attitude of thankfulness, or maybe just to tell him you love him. Which do you access more in a day?
God bless you today! Bro. Josh Richardson
