Nov 16 Devotion: Uncontainable Praise

Psalms 150:1 – “Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. How many come into worship services, revivals, camp meetings and prayer meetings with the mindset that they will offer praise IF God manifests His presence during THAT service? Why do we not have praise abounding for what God has already done? Why must we require a movement of God in order to stir our hearts to praise? Why can we not praise God for what he already has done? Why must we wait for God to show out His power in front of our eyes? Why can we not praise Him for what He has already done? Why can we not praise God for who He is?

He is Jehovah. The living One. The One who speaks and hears. The Almighty, the I AM, Holy, Righteous, Omnipotent, Omnipresent, Omniscient! He is more than enough to praise despite our situation, mindset, heartache, attitude or hardship.

We ought to enter into the house of worship, the sanctuary, with praise pouring from our lips and heart. We are without excuse. We are never exempt from the PRIVILEGE of praising our beloved Redeemer, or High Priest and our King.

If we truly wish for camp meeting to be extraordinary, we would repent for our lack of praise. We would confess to our Savior the shame of not duly worshiping him as we could have.

We would start, today and henceforth more, praising the Lord to the best of our feeble ability. Not because we have received but because of who He is. Your fellowservant In Christ,

Bro. Jordan Foster
