A Good Servant
1 Peter 2:16-18
As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God. [17] Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king. [18] Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward.
The definition of servant is a slave or bond servant one that waits or attends or that is bound. There are requirements for being a good servant. One must be obedient doing whatever the master desires for you to do. You must be faithful to your master. In today's times it is a hard thing to find someone who is faithful especially in preacher's. For some reason they are not willing to speak the whole truth about God's Word. To be a good servant you will endure some hard times. Everyone would be a servant if it was easy. The Bible states endure hardness as a good soldier. We’re living in the time when everyone is looking for the limelight. That’s not found in the definition of servant. A servant is one who serves when nobody is watching. Every servant must be bought and paid for. I'm a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ who bought me with his own blood.
