Sept. 5 Devotion: It Was Jesus

It Was Jesus

John 9:1,6-7 And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. [6] When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay, [7] And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.

Have you ever worked with someone who is making sure they let the boss know exactly what they did. They will point out every little thing they participated in, even though it was all just a part of their job. It might not even matter if someone else was part of a project they are quick to take their own credit for something. The blind man here in the Bible knew he deserved no credit for the miracle he had just received. John 9:11,15 He answered and said, A man that is called Jesus made clay, and anointed mine eyes, and said unto me, Go to the pool of Siloam, and wash: and I went and washed, and I received sight. [15] Then again the Pharisees also asked him how he had received his sight. He said unto them, He put clay upon mine eyes, and I washed, and do see. Jesus had told him to go wash after He touched his eyes, and after he did this he could see. He was quick to give Jesus the credit for what had happened. I’m thankful that it was Jesus!! It was Jesus that came and died for me! It was Jesus that saved my soul! It was Jesus that was long suffering to me while I was a lost church member. It was Jesus that loved me even at my lowest. It is Jesus that is coming again for those of us that’s been born again!! Praise God today it was Jesus!!!

God bless you today! Bro. Josh Richardson
